After studying cinema at ESEC film school (Paris), Michel Zana worked in Los Angeles, from 1988 to 1996. Back to France in 1996, he worked as line producer for 7 years on creative documentaries for TV. In 2003, he joined Sophie Dulac in Dulac Productions and co-founded the same year Dulac Distribution to distribute theatrically in France. As Head of Dulac Productions & Distribution, Michel Zana (co)produced 20 feature films and has distributed more than 180 features. In 2017, he founded Blue Train Films to champion politically engaged cinema. The company’s last film, Sudan, Remember Us by Hind Meddeb, premiered at Venise Days (Mostra 2024).

Nakon studija filma na filmskoj školi ESEC u Parizu, Mišel Zana je od 1988. do 1996. radio u Los Anđelesu. Po povratku u Francusku 1996, sedam godina je radio kao producent na kreativnim dokumentarcima za televiziju. Godine 2003. pridružio se Sophie Dulac u Dulac Productions i iste godine suosnovao Dulac Distribution radi bioskopske distribucije u Francuskoj. Kao direktor Dulac Productions & Distribution, (ko)producirao je 20 dugometražnih filmova i distribuirao više od 180 naslova. Godine 2017. osnovao je Blue Train Films, s ciljem promocije politički angažovanog filma. Posljednji film kompanije, Sudan, Remember Us autorice Hind Meddeb, premijerno je prikazan na Venice Days (Mostra 2024).
