BIOGRAPHY

Cyrielle Raingou is a Cameroonian filmmaker passionate about African cinemas. She very often uses metaphor and the symbolism of animals to unearth the complexity and mystery within humans. She is the recipient of the Kirch Foundation Award, the Filmac Award and the best fiction grant award for her first fiction feature I'm Coming for You. In 2014 she created Je Capture Ma Réalité, a film company focused on producing female filmmakers. Her first feature documentary, Le Spectre de Boko Haram, focused on life in a war zone from a children's perspective, had its world premiere at the International Film Festival Rotterdam 2023, where it won the Tiger Award, becoming the first African film to win that prestigious award.

Sirijel Rengu je kamerunska rediteljka posvećena afričkim kinematografijama. Često koristi metaforu i simboliku životinja kako bi otkrila složenost i tajanstvenost ljudskog. Dobitnica je nagrade Kirch Foundation, nagrade Filmac i granta za najbolji igrani projekat za svoj prvi dugometražni igrani film Doći ću po tebe. Godine 2014. osnovala je produkcijsku kuću Je Capture Ma Réalité, posvećenu produkciji filmova rediteljki. Njen prvi dugometražni dokumentarni film Sjenka Boko Harama, o životu u ratnoj zoni iz perspektive djece, imao je svjetsku premijeru na Međunarodnom filmskom festivalu u Roterdamu 2023, gdje je osvojio Tiger nagradu i postao prvi afrički film koji je dobio to prestižno priznanje.
