BIOGRAPHY
Ivan Salatić is a Montenegrin director and screenwriter whose films explore the porous boundary between dream and reality, often focusing on inner exile, absence, and poetic displacement. He studied visual arts in Belgrade and film directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Cetinje. His debut feature film, You Have the Night (2018), premiered at the Venice Film Festival (Critics’ Week) and was later screened at numerous festivals including Rotterdam, Sarajevo, and Thessaloniki. The film was praised for its atmospheric style and elegiac portrait of a dying town and its inhabitants. His second feature, Wondreous is The Silence Of My Master (2025), is a poetic work that examines the tension between historical legacy and personal memory. It had its world premiere at the International Film Festival Rotterdam. Ivan’s body of work also includes short films (Backyards, Shelters, Intro) as well as visual installations. He is known for his slow, immersive cinematic language and a deep engagement with the unconscious, often drawing inspiration from literature, psychoanalysis, and the Mediterranean landscape. Velora Morn is his third feature film, and marks a further step into fictional and psychological territory. Though intimate in scale, the project continues his thematic exploration of presence, loss, and inner fracture—now through a surreal narrative driven by a female perspective.

BIOGRAFIJA
Film je hvaljen zbog atmosferskog stila i elegičnog portreta umirućeg grada i njegovih stanovnika. Njegov drugi dugometražni film Wondrous is The Silence of My Master (2025) poetsko je ostvarenje koje istražuje tenziju između istorijskog nasljeđa i ličnog pamćenja, a svjetsku premijeru imao je na Međunarodnom filmskom festivalu u Roterdamu. Salatićev opus obuhvata i kratke filmove (Dvorišta, Skloništa, Intro) kao i vizuelne instalacije. Prepoznat je po sporom, uronjenom filmskom jeziku i dubokom bavljenju nesvjesnim, često inspirisan književnošću, psihoanalizom i mediteranskim pejzažom. Njegov treći dugometražni film Velora Morn predstavlja dalji korak u pravcu fikcionalnog i psihološkog, a iako intimnih razmjera, nastavlja njegovo tematsko istraživanje prisustva, gubitka i unutrašnjeg rasjeda – ovog puta kroz nadrealnu priču vođenu ženskom perspektivom.
