BIOGRAPHY

Nina Tratnik is a Slovenian film director and visual storyteller based in Belgrade, working across the Balkans and Europe. Before directing, she built more than a decade of experience in film and television as a production designer, art director and first assistant director. Her credits include the MGM+ series Robin Hood, the US features Misdirection and Zugzwang, as well as regional productions including The Otter, Corporation, Case Osterberg and 1970. As a writer-director she has been experimenting with short anthropology films and has directed music videos and commercial campaigns for regional artists and brands. Tratnik studied Theatre Directing and Drama at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade and Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Ljubljana. Her work is rooted in an interest in spaces, atmosphere and the social textures of the communities she portrays.

Nina Tratnik je slovenačka rediteljka i vizuelna autorka sa sjedištem u Beogradu, koja radi na prostoru Balkana i Evrope. Prije nego što se posvetila režiji, više od decenije radila je u filmu i televiziji kao scenografkinja, art direktorka i prva asistentkinja režije. Njeni radovi obuhvataju seriju Robin Hood (MGM+), američke filmove Misdirection i Zugzwang, kao i regionalne produkcije Vidra, Korporacija, Slučaj Osterberg i 1970. Kao autorka i rediteljka eksperimentiše sa kratkim antropološkim filmovima, a režirala je i muzičke spotove i reklamne kampanje za regionalne umjetnike i brendove. Studirala je pozorišnu režiju i dramaturgiju na Fakultetu dramskih umetnosti u Beogradu i etnologiju i kulturnu antropologiju na Univerzitetu u Ljubljani. Njen rad izrasta iz interesovanja za prostore, atmosferu i društveno tkivo zajednica koje portretiše.
