On his way to Grahovo, Maksim accidentally kills a man with his car. Frightened and in a state of shock, Maksim throws the man's body off a cliff and leaves the scene of the accident. Faced with the fact that he cannot solve the problem alone, Maksim confides in Niko and asks him for help to dispose of the body together. The news that the famous writer has arrived in the village causes euphoria among the villagers, and they prepare a grand celebration in his honor. Maksim is a writer who has brought fame to Grahovo and Montenegro with his works throughout Europe. The Minister of Culture also announces his arrival at the celebration. Niko agrees to help Maksim hide the body, risking the destruction of his own family, and Maksim promises his brother that he will give him his share of the vast estate. While the celebration is being prepared in the village, the two brothers, in hiding the crime, open Pandora's box of repressed emotions that affect the outcome of their plan.
