The life of promising handball player Anna (17) is disrupted, as her terminally ill, patriarchal grandmother arrives at the family home, in the midst of her parents' marital crisis. They, as herself find an escape in fancying her mysterious, handsome handball coach. During the hot summer days, in a city surrounded by fires, obsession, spy games and a family crisis will ensue.

ANA (17) is a talented handball player, but also a worrisome teenager. In need of a solid ground, she keeps her world together by compulsively considering statistics and by recording her family's diary with her cellphone. Her family lives a modern, outstanding life but without much empathy. Their orderly daily lives drastically change when, on a hot July day, the GRANDMOTHER is declared terminally ill. KOSTA, the father, believes that no one can take care of his mother better than the family. The fires surround the city in which they live, but during the next sweltering summer days, the house must be adapted to Grandmother's needs. Ana longs to go to summer camp at the seaside so that she can realize her desire for Coach Marko, her attractive and charming handball coach, but her father insists that she stays home and looks after his ailing mother. The seaside becomes a sort of a promise land for both Ana and Mia, a place where their desires can come true, but Kosta won't allow either one to leave. Sure at home, Ana starts spying on her parents in order to understand their behaviour and reveal their secrets. She learns that her mother Mila does not go to her job at the University, but is continually haunting Marko. Kosta is finding it increasingly difficult to cope with his job at the winery, trying to hide his cocaine addiction. Ana realizes that her father is also infatuated with Marko. As they start spying on each other, reality and their fantasies start to merge. In the turmoil of becoming an adult, Ana is the one who brings about the liberation of the whole family by accidentally causing her grandmother's death and thus freeing both herself and her mother of the oppressive heat of the fires.

ANA (17) je talentovana rukometašica, ali i zabrinjavajuća tinejdžerka. U potrebi za čvrstim temeljem, ona drži svoj svijet na okupu kompulzivno razmatrajući statistiku i snimajući dnevnik svoje porodice svojim mobilnim telefonom. Njena porodica živi moderan, izvanredan život, ali bez mnogo empatije. Njihov uredan svakodnevni život drastično se mijenja kada je, jednog vrelog julskog dana, baka proglašena smrtno bolesnom. KOSTA, otac, vjeruje da niko ne može da se brine o svojoj majci bolje od porodice. Požari okružuju grad u kojem žive, ali tokom narednih sparnih ljetnih dana, kuća mora biti prilagođena bakinim potrebama. Ana čezne da ode u ljetni kamp na moru kako bi ostvarila svoju želju za trenerom Markom, njenim atraktivnim i šarmantnim rukometnim trenerom, ali njen otac insistira da ona ostane kod kuće i brine se o njegovoj bolesnoj majci. More postaje neka vrsta obećane zemlje i za Anu i za Miju, mjesto gdje se njihove želje mogu ostvariti, ali Kosta ne dozvoljava nijednoj da ode. Naravno kod kuće, Ana počinje da špijunira svoje roditelje kako bi razumjela njihovo ponašanje i otkrila njihove tajne. Ona saznaje da njena majka Mila ne ide na posao na Univerzitetu, već neprestano proganja Marka. Kosti je sve teže da se nosi sa svojim poslom u vinariji, pokušavajući da sakrije svoju zavisnost od kokaina. Ana shvata da je i njen otac zaljubljen u Marka. Kako počinju da špijuniraju jedni druge, stvarnost i njihove fantazije počinju da se spajaju. U previranjima odrastanja, Ana je ta koja donosi oslobođenje cijele porodice slučajno uzrokujući smrt svoje bake i na taj način oslobađajući i sebe i svoju majku od opresivne vrućine vatre.
