BIOGRAPHY
Gana Čomagić is a screenwriter, director, and producer, with a diverse upbringing in both Montenegro and Switzerland. Currently based in Podgorica, she is the founder and executive director of "Evil Ideas - Film and Music Production," a company based in Montenegro. Gana earned a Master’s degree in Documentary Film from the University of Sussex in Brighton, UK, graduating with distinction. She is also a Chevening Alumni, having received this scholarship awarded to leaders and innovators. Gana’s work includes a variety of film projects, ranging from documentaries to fiction films. Her current focus lies in Montenegro, as well as engaging with international ventures. She is a Sarajevo Talents Alumni (2023), a Golden Egg nominee at the International Reykjavik Film Festival and has been participating in many international film workshops, markets and festivals. One of her notable works is the short film "Crna Dama" (Lady in Black, 2023), a blend of black comedy and drama, which has been supported by the Film Center of Montenegro and the Center of Modern Arts, and has since been nominated and awarded at international festivals. Gana is a member of the European Film Academy.
