BIOGRAPHY

Gana Čomagić is a screenwriter, director, and producer, with a diverse upbringing in both Montenegro and Switzerland. Currently based in Podgorica, she is the founder and executive director of "Evil Ideas - Film and Music Production," a company based in Montenegro. Gana earned a Master’s degree in Documentary Film from the University of Sussex in Brighton, UK, graduating with distinction. She is also a Chevening Alumni, having received this scholarship awarded to leaders and innovators. Gana’s work includes a variety of film projects, ranging from documentaries to fiction films. Her current focus lies in Montenegro, as well as engaging with international ventures. She is a Sarajevo Talents Alumni (2023), a Golden Egg nominee at the International Reykjavik Film Festival and has been participating in many international film workshops, markets and festivals. One of her notable works is the short film "Crna Dama" (Lady in Black, 2023), a blend of black comedy and drama, which has been supported by the Film Center of Montenegro and the Center of Modern Arts, and has since been nominated and awarded at international festivals. Gana is a member of the European Film Academy.

Gana Omagi je scenarista, reditelj i producent, sa raznovrsnim vaspitanjem u Crnoj Gori i �vajcarskoj. Trenutno �ivi u Podgorici, osniva? je i izvr�ni direktor kompanije "Zle ideje - filmska i muzi?ka produkcija", kompanije sa sedi�tem u Crnoj Gori. Gana je magistrirao �dokumentarni film na Univerzitetu u Saseksu u Brajtonu, Velika Britanija, diplomirao sa odli?nim uspehom. Ona je tako?e Chevening Alumni, po�to je dobila ovu stipendiju dodeljenu liderima i inovatorima. Gana � �rad obuhvata niz filmskih projekata, u rasponu od dokumentarnih filmova do igranih filmova. Njen trenutni fokus le�i u Crnoj Gori, kao i anga�ovanje u me?unarodnim poduhvatima. Alumni je Sarajevo Talents (2023), nominovana za Zlatno jaje na Me?unarodnom filmskom festivalu u Rejkjaviku i u?estvuje na mnogim me?unarodnim filmskim radionicama, sajmovima i festivalima. Jedan od njenih zapa�enih radova je kratki film "Crna Dama" (2023), spoj crne komedije i drame, koji je podr�an od strane Filmskog centra Crne Gore i Centra moderne umetnosti, a od tada je nominovan i nagra?ivan na me?unarodnim festivalima. Gana je ?lan Evropske filmske akademije.
