BIOGRAPHY

Gojko Berkuljan graduated in 2014 from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Cetinje, specializing in Film and Television Directing. He developed his early directing career through numerous short fiction and documentary films, as well as marketing campaigns. His first feature film, Iskra, premiered in mid-2017 as a Montenegro–Serbia co-production; it was screened at regional and international festivals and in 2018 became Montenegro's official submission for the Academy Awards in the category of Best Foreign Language Film. In December 2023, audiences were introduced to his second feature, For Our Children, produced by Radio and Television of Montenegro. His third feature, the family drama with elements of fantasy and science fiction Planet 7693 — a co-production between Montenegro, Serbia and North Macedonia — premiered in October 2024. He is a member of the Association of Film Directors and Producers of Montenegro.

Gojko Berkuljan diplomirao je 2014. godine na Fakultetu dramskih umjetnosti na Cetinju, na smjeru filmska i televizijska režija. Ranu rediteljsku karijeru gradio je kroz brojne kratke igrane i dokumentarne filmove, kao i kroz marketinške kampanje. Njegov prvi dugometražni film Iskra premijerno je prikazan sredinom 2017. godine, u koprodukciji Crne Gore i Srbije; film je prikazan na regionalnim i međunarodnim festivalima, a 2018. je bio zvanični crnogorski kandidat za nagradu Američke filmske akademije u kategoriji najboljeg stranog filma. U decembru 2023. publika je upoznala njegov drugi dugometražni film Za našu djecu, u produkciji Radio-televizije Crne Gore. Njegov treći dugometražni projekat, porodična drama sa elementima fantastike i naučne fantastike Planeta 7693, koprodukcija Crne Gore, Srbije i Sjeverne Makedonije, premijerno je prikazan u oktobru 2024. Član je Udruženja filmskih reditelja i producenata Crne Gore.
