BIOGRAPHY

Marija Perović graduated in film directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade and is a professor of Film and TV directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Cetinje, University of Montenegro. Her film Breasts was the Montenegrin candidate for the Academy Award. She is director and co-writer of three awarded feature films; her second feature Look at Me won the award for best directing of a first or second film at the Alexandria Film Festival, Egypt (2009). She is director and producer of a mini series awarded at the Seoul International Drama Awards (2019) and has directed three TV series produced in Serbia and Croatia, as well as Vila Maria, the first Croatian telenovela (170 episodes). She is co-producer of Srđan Dragojević's Heavens Above (Locarno 2021), Goran Stanković's Our Father and Mirjana Karanović's Folk Play. She is currently working on her fourth feature, Hotel Boka, as director and producer.

BIOGRAFIJA

Marija Perović diplomirala je filmsku režiju na Fakultetu dramskih umetnosti u Beogradu i profesorka je filmske i TV režije na Fakultetu dramskih umjetnosti na Cetinju, Univerziteta Crne Gore. Njen film Sise bio je crnogorski kandidat za Oskara. Rediteljka je i koscenaristkinja tri nagrađivana dugometražna filma; njen drugi film Gledaj me osvojio je nagradu za najbolju režiju prvog ili drugog filma na Filmskom festivalu u Aleksandriji (2009). Rediteljka je i producentkinja mini-serije nagrađene na Seoul International Drama Awards (2019) i režirala je tri TV serije producirane u Srbiji i Hrvatskoj, kao i Vilu Mariju, prvu hrvatsku telenovelu (170 epizoda). Koproducentkinja je filma Nebesa Srđana Dragojevića (Lokarno 2021), filma Oče naš Gorana Stankovića i Igre naroda Mirjane Karanović. Trenutno radi na svom četvrtom dugometražnom filmu Hotel Boka, kao rediteljka i producentkinja.
