Synopsis:
Ana, a four year old girl is present at her mother's funeral, lighting candles. Her brother Triko (18, drummer) promises he will take care of her, but she is quiet difficult. Triko's bandmates - Mirko (18, clarinet player, illegitimate ), Tonel (16, flutist, guitar player ) and Ludwig (18, educated, pianist, Czech ) approach. They play music at the grave. Ana sings. It is the year 1913 and Ana is at the opening of Hotel Boka, Mirko's father is owner, who never accepted Mirko . At the grand opening, Ana meets young architect and engineer Tapavica, who built the hotel and who tells Ana a story about what makes the ideal that can be only achieved by great talents and in return become immortal. Ana grows up into that kind of talent, a girl with a rich and beautiful voice. However, on the road to achieve ideal of jazz music, wars, upthrovals and chaoses ensue. But also unhappy love with Djurkovic, communist who becomes a fascist, and who will be killed by Italians forces and Chetniks in the year of 1943. Ana marries Mirko, who accepts the child, but even at the end of World War II and beginning of communism, Ana can't find happiness, peace and herz minute. New political conflicts, death of her daughter that dies from TBC and medicine for causes Ana to change and become lonely. One day in the year of 1979, when old Ana sings again and finally finds her herz minute. However, that is the moment of the grand earthquake – an earthquake where Ana's beautiful voice and Hotel Boka will forever disappear.
