Danilo, a Montenegrin in his early 30s is "dying" medicine in Belgrade and working as a gigolo, popular among rich, old ladies. His life changes radically after an appendicitis attack. In a series of coincidences, he gets operated and mistakenly turned into a woman. Desperate for losing his pride, he must wait for new operation for months. His maid, Jovan, former major and current hormonal therapy. His daughter Nina, an unsuccessful actress, openly despises him. When Danilo's father dies in Podgorica, his mother promises to marry Danilo. Danilo hires Nina and Jovan to act as his fiancée and father-in-law in front of relatives. Nina talks openly about all things Danilo's' mother hates, including sex. Jovan is playing a macho man. To them, all women from Belgrade are "whores" and all men are "faggots". Mother wants to separate Danilo from that "slut" and marry him to a decent local girl, with a substantial dowry. Nada, his younger sister, is dating a criminal. Picturesque Montenegrin funeral is completely new for unexperienced citizens. After a bunch of really funny adventures, an absolute disaster takes place during the funeral. He is revealed, but no one is saying about everyone. His mother is furious. Suddenly, Nina is explaining that none of this is true, that he actually died. Danilo shouts the cries of joy and wakes up in the hospital - that was a nightmare caused by anaesthesia. Doctor Jovan has a daughter Nina, the actress. Phone rings and he knows - mother is calling, father has died. Danilo promises to come. He ceases to be a gigolo, finds Jovan and Nina, and asks Nina to play his future wife. She accepts. They are heading to Montenegro. But he is now a new man.
