Synopsis:
The film "Rear Admiral" examines stereotypes about heroism and honor through the example of Krsto Đurović, a Rear Admiral of the Yugoslav People's Army (JNA) who refused to obey the order to bomb Dubrovnik at the very beginning of the war in Croatia. Đurović was killed under unexplained and still uninvestigated circumstances in a staged helicopter crash while flying over Konavle near the Croatian border, just a few days after refusing the order. Shortly after the crash, a new commander was appointed, and the city of Dubrovnik was attacked with unabated ferocity.
